I know that the times are tough for Nigerians. It has even been made more challenging by the trial-and-error policies of this bumbling administration. However, your lives are the most precious things that should never be mortgaged. This is why it is pertinent that the concerned government MDAs should commence a robust campaign to educate citizens on the dangers of scooping fuel from fallen petroleum tankers. Your lives matter to you and your loved ones. Scooping petrol, a highly flammable liquid from a fallen tanker, is a suicide that no one should undertake. We've experienced too many tragedies from incidents such as the latest one in Cross River State, and everything must be done to avert another. -AA

In the light of the tragic fire at Kano’s Farm Centre GSM Market, which has been confirmed by the Kano State Fire Service to have been caused by a battery explosion, I want to extend my deepest sympathies to the affected traders and their families. I also commend the bravery and swift action of the firefighters, whose efforts prevented loss of life and minimised damages.
We must urgently address safety in our markets by implementing stricter regulations for the handling of batteries and electrical goods in order to protect livelihoods and save lives. I urge both the federal and state governments to support the affected traders and ensure that such preventable disasters are minimised. -AA

Shehu’s moral compass was fixed on equity. He refused to be confined by tribe, religion, or region. His loyalty was to one constituency—the Nigerian people. His faith was in one ideal - the unity and greatness of our nation. And his ultimate ambition was not to govern Nigeria but to help Nigerians govern themselves with dignity, justice, and mutual respect.
Many remember Shehu as a brilliant General, a strategist, a man of discipline and precision. But those of us who walked beside him remember something greater: his tenderness toward his fellow man, his disdain for injustice, and his faith in Nigeria, even when the odds demanded despair.
To the Yar’adua Family.
At moments like this, words often feel inadequate. But today, as one who stood with Shehu side by side through seasons of hope and trial, I must say this to his beloved family: we owe you a debt no nation can fully repay.

I stand with NARD. Pay what you owe. Honour what you signed. Or explain to 200 million Nigerians why their hospitals will go dark on Tuesday. -AA

Meanwhile, local contractors who completed government projects remain unpaid. Many borrowed from banks to do the work and now face demands for repayment on money the government owes them. Some have lost their property; their representatives say some have died under the financial strain. Bola, why do your friends get huge contracts while Nigerian contractors have to protest to be paid for work they have already done? Pay the contractors. Publish what is owed and when it will be paid. Nigerians are entitled to know whose prosperity your government is building.
Nigeria’s public debt stood at ₦166.79 trillion at the end of June, and your government is now discussing another $1.5 billion in World Bank loans. Before you borrow another dollar in the people’s name, tell them what the money already borrowed has delivered. Name the projects. Show what they cost, who benefited and who was paid.
From my first day in office, I will put affordability and the protection of life at the centre of government. We will begin bringing down the costs of food, fuel and power, improving access to healthcare and education, and restoring security to communities living in fear. I will account for public spending and measure progress by what Nigerians can afford and whether they can live safely.

● Build and maintain national strategic oil reserves ● Deploy reserves to cushion the impact of global price shocks ● Reduce extreme fuel price volatility to protect households and businesses
3. Make electricity billing transparent, fair, and fully metered. ● End estimated billing nationwide within a defined transition period ● Implement a mass rollout of prepaid meters, targeting full coverage ● Prioritize metering for high-density and underserved communities ● Separate subsidies from tariffs, so government support goes directly to low-income households without distorting pricing ● Introduce transparent billing systems so consumers clearly understand what they are paying for ● Strengthen regulatory oversight to enforce fairness, accountability, and service quality across the electricity value chain ● Enforce strict penalties for non-compliance by distribution companies
