Border protection is one area where I have extensive professional competence. The level of protection and access through our national borderline determine the effectiveness of our national security safeguards and trans-national trade. So, I am going to open our borders and make sure that modern technology is adapted to make sure that trade movements along our borders do not carry the vectors of insecurity. I will also ensure that we strengthen international trade and security agreements with neighbouring countries in order to ensure that the movements of people and trade into Nigeria conform with our set priority and cause minimal harm to Nigeria.
