This government represents the lowest ebb in our democratic journey. Institutions have been weaponized. Policies are crafted not to empower the people but to entrench fear, obedience, and control. The common Nigerian has been abandoned at the altar of elite comfort. And make no mistake: this is the antithesis of everything June 12 stands for.
We are again at a historic threshold. Nigeria must choose: the path of democratic renewal or the dark alley of despotism.
The ongoing effort to build a broad, united opposition front is not about power for power’s sake. It is a moral imperative. It is about defending the legacy of June 12. It is about ensuring that no one, no matter how powerful is allowed to privatize the state and reduce the people to pawns in their political chess game.
It is about reclaiming Nigeria for Nigerians and safeguarding the future of generations unborn.
This is not just a political contest; it is a moral crusade. A struggle to liberate our economy, our democracy, and our dignity from the grip of authoritarian forces. And like every righteous struggle, it demands courage, clarity, and collective resolve.

That, definitely, is not how to build institutions. That, certainly, is not how to fight the monster of corruption. Indeed, such tendencies provide the stimulant for corruption to thrive.
We have seen how the EFCC has been used to empty opposition state governors into the ruling party, and the tea party is not about to end anytime soon.
While the genuine fight against corruption is a matter that requires the total support of all Nigerians, the objectification of it as a political agenda should be roundly condemned by all in civil society spaces and friends of Nigeria in the international community.
We have in recent times witnessed the use of anti-corruption agencies in coercing political leaders into the ruling party. Our assurance to Nigerians is that we would never succumb to this anti-democratic machinations of railroading our people into a one-party dictatorship. -AA

Hon. Aliyu Bello’s decision to formally join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) underscores the party’s growing success as a viable alternative to the current ruling party.
I know Bello personally as a dynamic youth mobilizer, particularly at the grassroots level.
His membership in the ADC will undoubtedly bring significant benefits to the mission of ending the incompetent and clueless government of Tinubu and the detrimental governance it has enthroned.
I warmly congratulate Aliyu for his bold and historic decision to unite with other patriots in the effort to rescue Nigeria. I also urge other young Nigerians to join the ADC and take ownership of this emerging party. The ADC is built on the principle of inclusivity, and it is a party that holds the promise of bequeathing leadership to young Nigerians.
It is clear that Nigerians recognize the ADC as the platform poised to reclaim and rebuild Nigeria for the benefit of the country and its people. -AA

This afternoon, I received state chairmen of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) at my residence in Abuja. They had come to express their support for the mission to rescue our country from the stranglehold of the incumbent incompetent APC-led administration. They particularly expressed their worry about how the Tinubu-led administration has grossly derailed from the ideals of concern for the ordinary Nigerians, which they reckoned was the abiding principle of the initial APC administration.
I took time to explain how current efforts to create a coalition platform began. I also gave them the pledge that the coalition platform, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), is a people-powered political platform.
I especially encouraged them to mobilise their supporters for the ongoing Voter Registration exercise.
I enjoyed the warm and frank conversation and look forward to having a robust partnership that will not just oust the incumbent anti-people government but restore genuine hope to the people. -AA

I wish to express my profound appreciation for the privilege, which you have bestowed on me, of leading our great party, the African Democratic Congress, into the next elections as its Presidential Candidate. I am truly humbled and excited by this singular honour.
We demonstrated that while democracy is being strangled and squashed by the ruling party and its oppressive and anti-democratic government, democracy is alive and well in the African Democratic Congress. In our party, members are allowed to express their views, to have ambitions and to contest for elective positions in a free, fair and transparent process.
Our great party is a coalition built through hard work, immense sacrifices and compromises, guided by our determination to rescue our country’s democracy which is facing its greatest threat since the return to democratic rule in 1999.

I propose three strategic mandates.
Mandate Number One: Move From Social Media Outrage to Democratic Participation.
Young Nigerians have demonstrated extraordinary creativity in the digital space.
You influence conversations.
You shape opinions.
You hold governments accountable.
You have shown the world that Nigerian youths can organise, innovate and inspire.
But while social media can awaken a nation, it cannot by itself elect a government.
Hashtags do not count votes.
Livestreams do not secure polling units.
Tweets do not defend democracy.
Only citizens do.
Our challenge in 2027 is therefore clear.
We must transform online influence into offline participation.
Verify your registration.
Understand the Electoral Act.
Volunteer.
Serve as polling agents.
Observe the process.
Protect the people's mandate peacefully and lawfully.
Remember this:
The old political establishment may have enormous financial resources, but you possess something far more powerful—your numbers.

Different languages.
Different cultures.
One reality.
No Nigerian youth wakes up hoping for unemployment.
No Nigerian parent dreams of sending a child to an unsafe school.
No entrepreneur prays for higher inflation.
No family wishes to live in fear.
Our shared challenges must produce a shared purpose.
The Nigeria we seek will never be built on ethnic suspicion or religious division.
It will be built by citizens who understand that our diversity is a strength—not a weakness.
In 2027, let us vote for competence.
Let us vote for character.
Let us vote for ideas.
Let us vote for the future.
Mandate Number Three: Become Builders of a New Nigeria.
I ask you today not merely to support a candidate.
I ask you to build a movement.
A movement founded on ideas.
A movement rooted in integrity.
A movement committed to peaceful democratic change.
Go back to your communities.
Go back to your campuses.
Go back to your workplaces.

It must become the beginning of a national movement.
A movement that educates.
A movement that organises.
A movement that unites.
A movement that inspires.
A movement that protects democracy.
And a movement that reminds every Nigerian that public office is a sacred trust, not a private inheritance.
To our political leaders across all parties, I say this respectfully:
Young Nigerians are not merely a voting population to be remembered every four years.
They are citizens to be respected.
Partners to be engaged.
Leaders to be developed.
The future custodians of our Republic.
Open the doors of leadership to them.
Trust them with responsibility.
Reward competence above loyalty.
Reward integrity above patronage.
Create opportunities that allow them to fulfil their enormous potential.
To the young Nigerians gathered here today, I leave you with this challenge.
Do not merely demand a better Nigeria.

And let the will of the people prevail.
THREE THINGS I ASK OF YOU
But my young friends, there is something government cannot do for you. Nobody can hand political power to a generation that is unwilling to organise for it.
So when you leave this summit, I want you to remember three words:
REGISTER. ORGANISE. LEAD.
Register, because millions of Nigerians have become cynical about politics and elections. Some believe their votes will not matter. Your assignment is to persuade them that surrendering their vote guarantees that somebody else will decide their future.
Go into your campuses, communities, markets and workplaces. Use the digital spaces where your generation already lives. Encourage eligible Nigerians to register and encourage those who are registered to participate.
But registration without organisation will achieve little.
Anger is not an organisation. A hashtag is not an organisation. Complaining on social media is not an organisation.

If you want political power, you must organise for political power. Join your wards, attend meetings, ask questions, demand accountability and participate in choosing those who represent you.
And while you organise, refuse the oldest trick in Nigerian politics: division.
Do not allow politicians to persuade you that the unemployed graduate in Kano is your enemy because you come from Enugu. Do not believe that the struggling entrepreneur in Lagos has different interests from the struggling entrepreneur in Makurdi simply because they worship differently.
The farmer threatened by insecurity in Zamfara and the farmer facing insecurity in Benue both want to live, work and raise their families in peace.
Poverty has no tribe. Unemployment has no religion. Insecurity does not ask for your political party before it strikes.
Our generation of leaders has a responsibility to leave you a country in which your identity is a source of pride, not a weapon politicians use against you.

Will you contest for office, not because you crave a title, but because you believe you have something better to offer?
Will you help build the ADC into a political party that is rooted in the people, disciplined in organisation, democratic in character and genuinely open to a new generation?
I am asking you to say:
This is my country. This is my future. This is my responsibility. I will not outsource it.
And if you accept that responsibility, I make you a promise: you will not walk alone.
I will listen to you, answer your questions and accept your criticism because I am not asking to be your master. I am asking to be your candidate, your partner and, if Nigerians entrust me with the responsibility, your servant.
LET THE RIVER RISE
Let me leave you with one image.
The River Niger, from which our country takes its name, does not begin as the mighty river we know. It begins small, and as it travels, other streams join it. One becomes ten, ten become hundreds, and what began quietly becomes a mighty river capable of sustaining millions.

The coming election offers us a peaceful way to choose our course. To the young person who wonders whether one vote matters, to the parent who has lost faith in promises, and to the worker who has grown tired of waiting: this country is yours. Listen closely. Question every candidate, including me. Demand plans that can be examined and promises that can be measured. Protect your vote and refuse intimidation.
Bola Tinubu says Nigeria has crossed the Red Sea and that there must be “no looking back.” Let him come down from Aso Rock and meet the Nigerians still struggling to get to the other side. Looking back at a government’s record is a citizen’s right. It is how we decide whether those who hold power deserve more time.
We have looked back. We have counted what fuel costs, what food costs and what a wage can still buy. We have seen families waiting for relief while government asks for more patience. We have heard promises of prosperity from a President who cannot show millions of Nigerians where to find it.
peeji 9 1.3 EXPORTS & TRADE
Party Manifesto 2027-2031 2026-10-05 ›
● Create clear and stable regulatory frameworks to attract long-term investment ● Partner with capable private firms to operate rail, ports, airports, and waterways ● Encourage indigenous participation in shipping, logistics, and transport services
4. Build a more practical and accessible transportation system. We will prioritize efficiency over prestige projects in the transportation sector ● Partner with states to develop existing transportation infrastructure ● Strengthen regional transportation connectivity within West Africa
The ADC will:
1. Promote exports as a driver of economic growth and job creation. We will support Nigerian businesses to compete and win in regional and global markets, with a strong focus on value-added exports and intra-African trade.
2. Provide targeted incentives to support exporters. We will introduce support mechanisms to reduce the cost of exporting and encourage Nigerian businesses to expand into regional and international markets. ● Provide export subsidies and incentives for export ● Support standardization, logistics, warehousing, and port efficiency to reduce export bottlenecks and costs ● Offer financing and credit support for small and medium-scale exporters ● Prioritize support for value-added goods rather than raw exports

5. HUMAN CAPITAL & SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT The ADC will:
1. Place people at the center of national development. Enact a Social Protection Act that guarantees access to safety nets, pensions, and social insurance, making support for vulnerable Nigerians a permanent national responsibility, not a temporary programme.
Details:
● Implement targeted subsidies linked to education, healthcare, and livelihood support, ensuring families receive coordinated assistance that helps them move out of poverty and build stable lives ● Decentralize human capital and social protection programmes to state and local governments for more effective delivery ● Strengthen national data systems, including conducting a credible population census and building reliable social registries ● Use data-driven systems to ensure that social programmes reach those who truly need them and that government decisions are based on real evidence ● Harness Nigeria's population as an economic advantage by investing in human capital development at scale

On reaching communities with my message, I have taken this campaign directly to the people, moving through neighbourhoods and shopping areas to meet you where you are. I used the launch of our party's mass membership registration to invite every citizen to join the ADC, register, and collect your Permanent Voter's Card, so you are ready to take part on election day.
