Why did you delete the tweet condemning the killing of Deborah Samuel - were you threatened for the political consequence of the post?
I don't believe in jungle justice in any form. It is unfortunate that the young lady died in such a horrible manner and I feel that those who make political interpretations for the reason I asked my media aide to delete the post are not being fair to the memory of the victim and her bereaved family. I was not aware of the killing before my staff posted the comment on my X (then Twitter) handle. My attention was called to it by the various calls I received, and I was made aware that the killing of the young lady was already causing security upset at the time. I felt it was more prudent to de-escalate the possibility of a security breach on account of the incident and that was why I instructed my staff to take down the post.
