Ask Atiku Abubakar — Official Citizen Engagement Platform

How will you provide sustainable clean drinking water to underserved communities?

I hear you. No family should have to walk far or pay daily for water. I will launch a National Rural Water Supply Initiative, working with state and local governments to drill solar-powered motorized boreholes and build community water treatment plants. Where wells dry up in the dry season, I'll also pursue deep-aquifer drilling, rainwater harvesting infrastructure, and small earth dams, so your community has clean water close to home, year-round.
