Ask Atiku Abubakar — Official Citizen Engagement Platform

What is your plan to prepare young Nigerians for future jobs in technology?

I am determined to prepare you for the jobs of the future by investing in digital skills, innovation, and technology-driven education. This means supporting tech hubs and innovation centres across the country, and building digital skills, coding, and technology training into our education system. We will support training in fields like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data science. I also plan to partner with private companies and global technology firms to expand access to training and employment opportunities for you.

Additionally, universities will need to integrate AI into their curricula so that, as AI transforms or replaces some jobs, Nigerians are equipped with the skills to take advantage of the new opportunities it creates.
