Ìdí nìyí tí mo fi ń ṣe ìlérí yìí níwájú yín lónìí: lábẹ́ ètò ìṣèlú wa, a óò mọ̀ọ́mọ̀ ṣí ìlẹ̀kùn àṣíwájú ìṣèlú sílẹ̀ fún ìran tuntun. Ìfisílò ọ̀dọ́ tí kò ní kéré sí 40 fún ọgọ́rùn-ún. Ṣùgbọ́n èyí tún ní ìtumọ̀ pé ẹ gbọ́dọ̀ múra sílẹ̀ láti kọ́ ìṣàkóso ìjọba, láti ní òye nípa ìnáwó àti ìlànà gbogbo ènìyàn, àti láti kọ́ bí àwọn ilé-iṣẹ́ ṣe ń ṣiṣẹ́, kí ẹ lè múra tán láti darí.
Àwọn ìdáhùn tó wà lórí ojú-ìwé yìí ni a túmọ̀ láti èdè Gẹ̀ẹ́sì nípasẹ̀ ẹ̀rọ, kò sì tíì ṣàyẹ̀wò rẹ̀ láti ọwọ́ atúmọ̀-èdè kan.

That must change.
When I speak about youth inclusion, I do not mean ceremonial appointments or creating a few positions with impressive titles. I mean real responsibility, political representation, economic opportunity and a genuine voice in government.
That is why I make this commitment before you today: under our political programme, we will deliberately open the doors of political leadership to a new generation. At least 30 percent of our legislative candidates will be under the age of forty, and I want to see a significant number under thirty.
But that commitment imposes a responsibility on you as well. Opening the door is not enough if those who enter are not prepared to lead. You must study government, understand public finance and policy, learn how institutions work, understand the communities you seek to represent and prepare yourselves for the difficult business of leadership.
Do not simply complain about the people making decisions. Prepare yourselves to replace those who are failing you.
