Emi kò kàn ń bèèrè lọ́wọ́ àwọn ọ̀dọ́ Nigeria láti ṣe ìpolongo fún mi nìkan. Mo ń bèèrè lọ́wọ́ yín láti bá mi kọ́, láti gba ọ̀dọ̀ yín ní ọjọ́ ọ̀la tí à ń gbèrò, àti láti kópa tààrà nínú kíkọ́ rẹ̀. Fún ìgbà pípẹ́ jù, àwọn ọ̀dọ́ ti jẹ́ onílàárí nígbà ìpolongo ṣùgbọ́n a óò lè fi wọ́n sílẹ̀ lẹ́yìn náà, a óò kó wọn jọ fún àwọn àpéjọ àti ẹ̀rọ àwùjọ, kí wọ́n sì wá rí i pé àwọn ìpinnu pàtàkì ni a ṣe ní àwọn yàrá tí wọn kò sí. Mo ń bèèrè lọ́wọ́ yín láti jẹ́ apá kan nínú kíkọ́ ohun tí ń bọ̀, kì í ṣe láti ṣe ìrànlọ́wọ́ láti ṣẹ́gun rẹ̀ nìkan. Mo ṣèlérí ìkópa àwọn ọ̀dọ́ ní ó kéré tán 40% nínú ìjọba mi.
Àwọn ìdáhùn tó wà lórí ojú-ìwé yìí ni a túmọ̀ láti èdè Gẹ̀ẹ́sì nípasẹ̀ ẹ̀rọ, kò sì tíì ṣàyẹ̀wò rẹ̀ láti ọwọ́ atúmọ̀-èdè kan.

Nigerians are repeatedly told to endure because things will eventually get better. But leadership cannot endlessly demand sacrifice from citizens while offering explanations for their suffering.
Leadership is not the art of explaining suffering. Leadership is the responsibility to reduce it.
That is the choice that will confront Nigerians in the next election.
I AM ASKING YOU TO BUILD WITH ME
I have not come here merely to ask young Nigerians to campaign for Atiku Abubakar. I am asking you to take ownership of the future we are proposing and to participate directly in shaping it.
For too long, young people have been useful to politicians during campaigns but expendable after elections. They are mobilised to fill rallies, dominate social media and defend political leaders, only to discover after victory that the important decisions are still being taken in rooms from which they are absent.
