What is your plan to secure communities in Borno and enable displaced families to return home?
Before you can return home, that home has to be secure, and I mean secure before resettlement, not after. My plan has security forces clear and secure affected regions, establishing permanent Forward Operating Bases and civil protection posts before organized civilian resettlement begins. Alongside that, I am advocating for State and Local Community Policing, expanded security force recruitment, and satellite/drone surveillance with intelligence-driven counter-insurgency operations. For families like yours who return, there will be rebuilding grants, starter seeds and tools, micro-loans, and restoration of health centers and schools.

What will you do to create opportunities that encourage young Nigerians to stay and those in the diaspora to return? Answer: To curb brain drain, I will prioritize macroeconomic stabilization, business-friendly regulatory reforms, tax incentives for returnee-led businesses, and dedicated diaspora investment channels, and comprehensive security reforms to make living and investing in Nigeria safe and rewarding. Q5: Food is becoming unaffordable for many families. What will you do to bring down the prices of basic foods such as rice, beans and garri? Answer: My plan targets immediate yield expansion for local food staples by eliminating import duties on farm inputs, replenishing national strategic grain reserves to buffer prices during shortages, and lowering transport costs by subsidizing local fuel refining inputs.

Q24: How will you prevent farmer-herder disputes from becoming ethnic or religious conflicts, and what role should federal, state and community authorities play in resolving them? Answer: My policy enforces strict rule of law by treating violent crimes as criminal acts regardless of ethnicity, assigning intelligence to federal agencies, operational policing to states, and early- warning dispute resolution to community authorities. Q25: Kidnapping, terrorism and armed attacks have affected communities in places such as Zamfara, Borno and other parts of Nigeria for years. What will you do differently to make these communities safe? Answer: I am advocating for constitutional restructuring to allow State and Local Community Policing, expanding security force recruitment, deploying advanced satellite/drone surveillance, and conducting intelligence-driven counter-insurgency operations.

Q26: We have lived in IDP camps for years and want to return home. How will you make our communities safe enough for us to return and rebuild our homes and lives? Answer: Security forces will clear and secure affected regions, establishing permanent Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) and civil protection posts before organized civilian resettlement begins. Q27: Displaced families have lost farms, livelihoods and children's education. What support will you provide to help them restart their lives? Answer: Returning families will receive rebuilding grants, basic household assets, starter seeds and tools, micro-loans, and immediate restoration of basic health centers and schools. Q28: How will you ensure that money, food and assistance intended for IDPs actually reach displaced people rather than being diverted?

I commiserate with the government and people of Borno State over the catastrophic flooding that led to the tragic loss of lives, destruction of property, and the displacement of hundreds of thousands from their homes. You are not alone in this difficult time, and I, on behalf of my family, pledge my full support towards the rebuilding efforts. -AA

I am deeply saddened and alarmed by the resurgence of violent attacks in Plateau State, particularly the recent killings in Zike community in the Kimakpa area of Kwali district, Bassa Local Government Area, where at least 47 innocent lives were lost on Sunday. This tragedy, coming just days after a similar attack in Bokkos LGA, is a grim reminder of the worsening state of security in our country.
It is regrettable and entirely unacceptable that these Nigerians had to lose their lives as a result of the incompetence of the Tinubu-led administration. The protection of lives and property is the primary responsibility of any government. Unfortunately, President Tinubu has failed these citizens and continues to fail them.
I also condemn the escalating wave of terrorist attacks in Borno State, which, according to Governor Babagana Zulum and the Shehu of Borno, Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi, has resulted in the loss of lives and territory to insurgents. These disturbing developments underscore the total collapse of the current administration’s security policy and architecture.

I am deeply saddened by the heinous attacks on communities in Agwarra and Borgu Local Government Areas of Niger State, which have led to the loss of scores of innocent lives and the abduction of several residents, including schoolchildren.
This brazen level of brutality against defenseless communities is unacceptable and deeply troubling.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost loved ones, and I stand in solidarity with the people and government of Niger State during this painful moment.
My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased, those abducted, particularly the children, and I urge the relevant authorities to act swiftly to secure their safe and unconditional release.
The primary duty of any government is the protection of lives and property. We must strengthen our security architecture, restore confidence in affected communities, and bring the perpetrators of these atrocities to justice. -AA
