Q24: How will you prevent farmer-herder disputes from becoming ethnic or religious conflicts, and what role should federal, state and community authorities play in resolving them? Answer: My policy enforces strict rule of law by treating violent crimes as criminal acts regardless of ethnicity, assigning intelligence to federal agencies, operational policing to states, and early- warning dispute resolution to community authorities. Q25: Kidnapping, terrorism and armed attacks have affected communities in places such as Zamfara, Borno and other parts of Nigeria for years. What will you do differently to make these communities safe? Answer: I am advocating for constitutional restructuring to allow State and Local Community Policing, expanding security force recruitment, deploying advanced satellite/drone surveillance, and conducting intelligence-driven counter-insurgency operations.

The news of the invasion of the Federal University of Gusau and the abduction of a number of students by bandits who were also said to have invaded the Sabon-Gida community in the Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State is very unfortunate. It is equally regrettable that despite the huge investment in national defense, Nigerians have continued to live in a state of insecurity as terrorists, militants, and bandits have continued to ride roughshod over our communities. The recent kidnap is one incident too many. While I sympathize with the victims of this incident, I commend the security agencies for being able to rescue some of them. I also charge the security agencies to step up efforts to rescue those still in captivity and put an end to these acts of barbarism, banditry and brigandage that has continued put our compatriots in a state of perpetual fear and anguish. -AA https://guardian.ng/news/zamfara-university-students-kidnapped-by-bandits/

The escalating terrorism plaguing various parts of Nigeria demands intensified government action. Beyond the tragic loss of lives, these acts sow seeds of distrust, threatening the unity of our nation. The people of Isa Local Government Area in Sokoto State are urgently appealing for government intervention to protect their lives and property. This is an SOS and an early warning for the government and security agencies to act proactively. Isa Local Government needs immediate support, and we must unite in solidarity. Our greatest strength against terrorism lies not in the barrels of guns but in the unbreakable bond of our collective unity. Together, we can push back the scourge of terrorism. -AA

I am deeply saddened by the heinous attacks on communities in Agwarra and Borgu Local Government Areas of Niger State, which have led to the loss of scores of innocent lives and the abduction of several residents, including schoolchildren. This brazen level of brutality against defenseless communities is unacceptable and deeply troubling. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost loved ones, and I stand in solidarity with the people and government of Niger State during this painful moment. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased, those abducted, particularly the children, and I urge the relevant authorities to act swiftly to secure their safe and unconditional release. The primary duty of any government is the protection of lives and property. We must strengthen our security architecture, restore confidence in affected communities, and bring the perpetrators of these atrocities to justice. -AA

Different languages. Different cultures. One reality. No Nigerian youth wakes up hoping for unemployment. No Nigerian parent dreams of sending a child to an unsafe school. No entrepreneur prays for higher inflation. No family wishes to live in fear. Our shared challenges must produce a shared purpose. The Nigeria we seek will never be built on ethnic suspicion or religious division. It will be built by citizens who understand that our diversity is a strength—not a weakness. In 2027, let us vote for competence. Let us vote for character. Let us vote for ideas. Let us vote for the future. Mandate Number Three: Become Builders of a New Nigeria. I ask you today not merely to support a candidate. I ask you to build a movement. A movement founded on ideas. A movement rooted in integrity. A movement committed to peaceful democratic change. Go back to your communities. Go back to your campuses. Go back to your workplaces.

This makes the failure of the Tinubu administration even more difficult to excuse. Nigerians were told that removing fuel subsidy would free enormous resources for development and security. Yet, in 2025 alone, the Nigeria Customs Service disclosed about ₦34 trillion in import-duty exemption approvals, with a substantial portion reportedly linked to military hardware. So Nigerians are entitled to ask a simple question: Where is the security? Where are the results? If Nigerians must pay more for fuel so government can have more resources, and enormous concession are being approved in the name of national priorities, then Nigerians should not also be paying with their lives. I know this crisis is solvable. I have helped broker peace between Tiv and Fulani communities before, and I remain convinced that criminality has no tribe. A killer is a killer. A thief is a thief. We must punish criminals, protect farmers, secure livestock owners, and restore peaceful coexistence.
