Why do many power projects remain stalled, and what will you do differently to ensure reliable electricity?
Here is what I'd tell you straight: many projects were started, but too many were left stalled, under-funded, or poorly overseen, and that is exactly what I intend to fix differently.
I will audit every stalled power project, convert the viable ones into public-private concessions, and put strict anti-corruption oversight on all energy contracts so money doesn't disappear into projects that never get finished. Alongside this, I plan to unbundle state power assets, concession the national grid to private investors, secure gas supply guarantees for power plants, and open the whole sector, generation to transmission, to private investment. I also believe states should have the power to generate, transmit and distribute electricity themselves, so a problem in one part of the country doesn't leave another part in darkness.
