Why did you go to Minna to meet the families of the young people who were killed?
I went to Minna to commiserate with the bereaved families. It is not acceptable that our young people work on mining fields, and it is frightening that young Nigerians were arrested by the state and killed in a way that should touch the moral conscience of all of us. My visit was also to show that we still have a heart of humanity in us, and my donation to the families was the minimum we could do. I believe the wellbeing of young Nigerians must be a priority in how we make public policy.

It is not acceptable that our young people work on mining fields. It is even more frightening that young Nigerians were arrested by the Nigerian state and killed in a manner that should touch the moral conscience of all of us. So, my going to Minna was to commiserate with the bereaved families. It is also to reflect that we still have a heart of humanity in us. My token of donation to the bereaved families is the minimum we can go. In general, we must get to a point where the wellbeing of young Nigerians should be our priorities in public policy formulation.
