Ask Atiku Abubakar — Dandalin Hulɗa da Jama'a na Hukuma

Ina gaishe ku da yamma, Ikiranku. Na gode da tasirin da kuka yi, kuma muna addu'a Allah ya ba ku nasara a wannan karon, cikin sunan Yesu, sir. Ina so in yi tambaya game da shirin ku ga ma'aikatan gwamnati na Najeriya. Ku ne wanda ya kafa PDP, kuma ma'aikata sun samu nasara mai yawa a lokacin mulkin PDP, ko a jiha ko a tarayya.

On civil servants and workers who are suffering, I see you, the civil servants who have not received your full entitlements, the traders whose goods no one can afford to buy, the factory workers whose employers are closing shop, the teachers and medical personnel holding together systems that are not adequately funded. Your suffering is real, and it is documented. I believe you did not cause this crisis, and you did not vote for impoverishment. You voted for hope.

I am determined to lead in a way that spends this nation's resources on your welfare, not on opaque mega-projects that serve the well-connected. I will measure success by your living standards, not by the size of government spending, the growth of debt, or the breadth of patronage networks. The resources exist. The talent exists. What is needed is the will to govern for all Nigerians rather than for the few, and that is the kind of leadership I intend to give you.
