I understand the fear and frustration these candidates feel. To be excluded from training after passing every stage, screening, documentation and medicals, and making the final list, is deeply unfair if it happened the way it has been described. Nigerians deserve openness from their government, especially in processes that affect their livelihoods. I have long said that governments must consult and act transparently, and that sound governance means explaining decisions honestly rather than leaving citizens in the dark. Any recruitment process must be seen to be fair from start to finish, and those who earned their place through the proper process should not lose it to anyone who did not go through the same steps.
