Na ji haushi cewa PDP ba za ta mayar da dimokuradiyyar cikin gida wani ɓangare na manufofinta ba, saboda haka na rabu da jam'iyyar da na taimaka wajen kafawa, na kuma shiga cikin masu ci-gaba a ƙarƙashin APC. Lokacin da na sha kaye a hannun Muhammadu Buhari a zaɓen fidda gwanin shugaban ƙasa na APC, na amince da shan kayen ba tare da wani jinkiri ba. Sannan na jingina goyon bayana ga yaƙin neman zaɓensa, ina aiki tare da sauran masu ruwa da tsaki a cikin APC domin samun nasara a wannan zaɓe, kuma goyon bayana ga nasararsa ya ci gaba har bayan lokaci mai tsawo.
