Ask Atiku Abubakar — Official Citizen Engagement Platform

Many communities don't have ambulances or access to specialists. What will you do to improve emergency and specialist healthcare outside the big cities?

I understand how painful it is to lose someone because help couldn't reach them in time. My plan links regional specialist medical centers to rural communities through regional ambulance networks and integrated telemedicine services, backed by rural emergency transport systems and trained Community Health Extension Workers deployed to communities like yours. Distance should not decide who lives or who gets specialist care in time, and I am committed to closing that gap for every Nigerian outside the big cities.
