Will states get more control over policing and other key areas?
Yes. I will move key responsibilities from the Exclusive Legislative List to the Concurrent and residual levels, giving states greater authority in areas such as policing, prisons, and railways. States will also gain more control over mines, minerals, oil fields, and natural gas, under clear national standards and safeguards. They will also manage things like business registration, drugs and narcotics control, and criminal identification systems.
