What will you do about politicians who defect to another party after being elected?
I want to stop defections that betray the people who voted. I will work to strengthen the laws and close the loopholes that let elected officials switch parties without consequence. Any elected official who defects should automatically vacate their seat and go back to the people through a by-election. This is how we protect the integrity of your mandate as a voter.
