Ask Atiku Abubakar — Official Citizen Engagement Platform

How will you improve coordination between states and neighbouring countries on security?

I will drive what I call a firehose principle of continuous, high-volume security coordination across jurisdictions, both within Nigeria and with our neighbours. This means enabling bordering states to jointly plan operations, share intelligence in real time, and coordinate responses regardless of regional grouping. We will also establish joint security task frameworks with neighbouring countries facing similar threats like banditry, kidnapping, and cross-border crime, and strengthen our external security cooperation with Nigeria's neighbours.
