How will local communities get more say in running schools?
I will bring education closer to you by empowering communities and local governments to take an active role in managing and improving schools. This means setting up Local Government Education Committees that involve parents, teachers, traditional leaders, and community stakeholders. Communities will have a role in monitoring teacher attendance, school performance, and infrastructure maintenance. I will also provide small grants to support community-led school improvement initiatives, and encourage partnerships between schools and local organizations to support learning outcomes.
