And imagine elections where Nigerians vote without fear, results are transparently counted and transmitted, winners govern and losers accept the verdict of the people. None of these things is beyond Nigeria. Countries do not develop because their citizens are genetically more gifted than Nigerians. They develop because institutions work, policies are consistent, leaders are accountable and citizens insist upon standards. That Nigeria will not come through miracles. It will come through choices: good policies, competent leadership, strong institutions and citizens who refuse to surrender their country. WILL YOU RISE? So I leave you with the question that matters: Will you rise? Will you rise above the cynicism created by years of broken promises? Will you reject the idea that Nigeria can never change and that the only sensible ambition of a talented young Nigerian is to find a way out? Will you walk into your ward and persuade others to participate?
