Answer: My policy expands conditional cash transfers to poor households conditioned on school attendance and child vaccination, paired with a revitalized National Homegrown School Feeding Scheme. Q49: Politicians make promises during elections and often fail to deliver them. How will Nigerians track your promises, see how public money is being spent and hold your government accountable when commitments are not fulfilled? Answer: My administration will launch an online "Promise Tracker" portal and implement Open Government Partnership (OGP) standards to publish live budget spending, contract awards, and performance metrics.

TINUBU’S ADDICTION TO LOANS: MORTGAGING NIGERIA’S FUTURE. The announcement by the Tinubu-led APC government to pursue fresh external and domestic loans is a reckless and dangerous move that threatens the future of Nigeria and generations yet unborn. Despite national outrage, this administration is pushing ahead with plans to borrow $21.54 billion, €2.19 billion, and ¥15 billion — an equivalent of over $24 billion, which is more than 60% of Nigeria’s total foreign exchange reserves. This borrowing spree will raise our total public debt from ₦144.7 trillion to a crushing ₦183 trillion. This move comes while Nigeria’s debt burden is already at alarming levels. As of December 31, 2024, public debt stood at $94 billion (₦144.7 trillion). Since President @officialABAT assumed office in 2023, public debt has jumped by 65.6%. Under the APC-led administration since 2015, public debt has ballooned by 1,048%, from ₦12.6 trillion to ₦144.7 trillion

Where competence triumphs over connections. Where justice triumphs over injustice. Where hope triumphs over despair. Where every child can dream without fear. Where every young person can succeed through hard work. Where every citizen can once again believe that government exists to serve the people. The task before us is great. But the Nigerian spirit is greater. The road ahead may not be easy. But no great nation was ever built by people who surrendered to despair. My dear young Nigerians, the future is not something we inherit. The future is something we build. Let history record that when Nigeria called, your generation answered. Let history remember that when democracy was tested, your generation defended it. Let history remember that when hope seemed to fade, your generation restored it. And let history remember that together, we rebuilt the promise of Nigeria. Nigeria does not need another miracle.

I want a mother to return from the market with more food in her bag. I want a father to pay transport and still have something left in his pocket. I want a small business owner to close for the day with profit, not just enough money to buy fuel for tomorrow. That is what affordability means to me. Less money spent on fuel. Less money spent on transport. Less pressure on food prices. More money left for your family. My promise is personal: I want you to feel relief in your pocket, in your home and in your daily life. I will make life affordable again. I will make Nigeria affordable again. It is a promise. -AA

● Reduce supply-side bottlenecks in transport, energy, and logistics that increase the cost of goods ● Coordinate fiscal and monetary policy to avoid excessive money supply growth while supporting productive sectors ● Use targeted, temporary interventions, such as strategic grain releases, to cushion extreme price spikes without distorting markets ● Promote competition and reduce monopolistic practices that artificially increase prices 3.Manage public debt responsibly without burdening citizens. We will shift from debt accumulation for consumption, to debt used strictly for productive investment that grows the economy and generates returns. ● Prioritize borrowing for infrastructure, industry, and growth-enhancing projects, not recurrent expenditure ● Improve revenue collection efficiency instead of increasing tax burdens on citizens ● Increase transparency in borrowing, ensuring Nigerians can track how debt is used and its impact ● Use public-private partnerships (PPPs) to finance major projects instead of relying solely on government borrowing

I will manage public debt responsibly, without burdening you and your family. My plan is to shift away from debt taken on for consumption, to debt used strictly for productive investment that grows the economy and generates returns. That means prioritising borrowing for infrastructure, industry, and growth-enhancing projects, not recurrent spending, improving how revenue is collected instead of raising your tax burden, and making borrowing transparent so you can track how debt is used and its impact. I will also look to public-private partnerships to finance major projects, rather than relying solely on government borrowing.
